Drywall Texture

After the taping process, drywall finishers will often apply a thin coat of diluted joint compound across the entire wall or ceiling surface. The skim coat provides an even and smooth exterior for any flaws that might be present on this layer. After sanding down all high spots as well as low areas, primers will be put over top along with paint so we can give you both protection against stains but also keeping your wall looking vibrant!

Drywall textures create a visually interesting surface and cover any imperfections on the wall. It can be as simple or complex as you want it, and there are so many different textures available such that no matter what type of room you have, drywall texturing will work for making it unique. Textures range from random, splattered patterns to sweeping, hand-troweled arcs.

To apply joint compound, drywall texture professionals use both power tools and manual instruments like trowels or rollers on textured surfaces that are typically composed of topping compound or diluted general-purpose joint compound. Those compounds are used in many other areas, such as ceilings, since they can be easily applied and excess material can be scraped off using an instrument called a putty knife before smoothing out cracks and painting over the top.
